Helen Campbell
Helen Marie Campbell, 72, of Pickford, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at her home.

She was born May 18, 1935, in Detroit to Robert and Mable (nee Nichols) Barr.

She and her first husband, Raymond J. Leavitt, moved their young family to Pickford in the late 1960s. After Mr. Leavitt's death, she married Herman Campbell in 1978.

Mrs. Campbell was an active 4- H leader and supporter of her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren, and was a member of the Chippewa County and Stalwart Fair boards. For many years, she served as a member of the Pickford Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She was also a member of the Pickford United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Campbell; eight children and their families, Judy Campbell, Janet Campbell, Jim and Lori Campbell, Cal and Fran Leavitt, Carolyn Cottle, Jake and Jo-Ellen Campbell, Cindy and Lee Wentzel, and James "J.L." and Cathy Leavitt; grandchildren and their families, Ray and Sara Cottle, Cheri and Ben Bush, Nikki and Brian Graham, Daniel and Missy Cottle, Jimmy Campbell, Heather Campbell and Mark Black, Raeann and Bob Reinhardt, Chrissy Campbell, Sandy Campbell, Tiffany Campbell, Derick Campbell and Sarah Mastaw, Chris Leavitt, and Emelia Cottle and Glen Cottle; and 11 great-grandchildren, Stosh Reinhardt, Cody Campbell, Aubrie Cottle, Hanna Graham, Kyle Graham, Matt Bush, Laura Bush, Kain Reinhardt, Cole Cottle, Elle Cottle, and Aspyn Cottle.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond J. Leavitt, her daughter, Connie Leavitt, and a son-in-law, Gary Cottle.

Visitation was held Friday, November 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Reamer Galer Funeral Home in Pickford and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Pickford United Methodist Church. Services followed Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church with the Reverend Paul Gruenberg and the Reverend Lynn Chappell officiating.

Burial was at in Oaklawn Chapel Gardens in Bruce Township.
