Pickford Buck Pole Around EUP

Pickford Historical Society will host a buck pole and 50/50 raffle during this year's rifle hunting season. The contest is open to all legal hunters in Chippewa and Mackinac counties who register by Thursday, November 15. There is a $5 entry fee, and all proceeds from the contest will benefit the Pickford Historical Society.

The winner of the contest will have the largest buck weighed and measured at Pickford Feed Service during business hours. Anyone who enters a buck will have their photograph taken with their deer, and the photograph will be posted with weight and measurement at the Pickford Historical Museum.

Hunters can register in Pickford at Wilderness Treasures, Skinner's Garage, Pickford Market, Pickford Feed Service, and Pickford Building Center; in Cedarville at Taylor Lumber and Cedar Pantry; in Sault Ste. Marie at Sporty's New and Used Sporting Goods; in Kinross at The Local Express, and in Goetzville at William's General Store.
