Comets Runners Enjoy State Competition

The Mackinaw City Comets boys cross country team finished 19th out of 27 teams in Division 4 of the L- Peninsula state finals at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn Saturday, November 3.

Kevin Darrow placed 86th out of 246 individual runners with a time of 17:38, followed by Brandyn Clemens at 17:48, Chris Laninga 17:55, Luke Alexander 18:51, Adam Alexander 18:57, Barry Paquet 19:34, and Cullen Lawson 20:42.

The winning individual time in Division 4 was 15:49.

"I was pleased with the entire team and their individual effort," said Comets Head Coach Scott Mills. "You must be at this event to appreciate the times."
