Gunnar Zipp Earns Trip to P-P-K State Finals

Gunnar Zipp, a freshman at LaSalle High School, qualified for the finals in the boys age 14-15 division of the punt-pass-kick contest after a strong finish in the regionals at Traverse City Saturday, October 6.

Zipp will compete with five other contestants during the state championships at Ford Field before the Detroit Lions National Football Game Sunday, December 9.

Margo Brown, in the girls age 10-11 division, and Leuna St. Andrew, in the girls age 8-9 class, of St. Ignace, competed in the regionals, but did not qualify for the finals.

Placing third was Andrew Goldthorpe (boys 8-9), Tyler Snyder (boys 10-11), John Eby (boys 12-13), and Nichole Janeczek (girls 12-13).
