Gloria 'Shine' Paquin

Gloria "Shine" Paquin, 79, a lifelong Garnet resident, died Monday, November 12, 2007, at the residence of her daughter, Connie Paquin, in Garnet.

Born September 6, 1928 in Garnet, she was the daughter of Cecil and Adah (nee Pierson) Gill.

Mrs. Paquin was formerly employed at Browning's Sawmill, and also as a housekeeper. A devoted homemaker, she enjoyed casino gaming, bird watching, raising chickens, fishing, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Paquin is survived by a daughter and her family, Connie Paquin of Garnet; two sons and their families, Thomas Jr. of Baraga and David of Rexton; 11 grandchildren, several greatgrandchildren, and one brother, Gordon Gill Jr. of Gould City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Paquin Sr., a daughter, Rose, a grandson, Larry, and several brothers and sisters.

Services will be Wednesday, November 14, at 11 a.m. at the Rexton Mennonite Church with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Caffey Cemetery.

Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry is assisting the family.
