Earl Rorick of Indian River was the first to haul a buck across the Mackinac Bridge on Michigan's opening day of firearm deer season Thursday, November 15. Mr. Rorick, an employee at Hiawatha Behavioral Health in St. Ignace, bagged a six-point buck while hunting by himself in Newberry around 8 a.m.
