New Water, Sewer Lines Installed on Astor St.

Horse traffic on Mackinac Island's Astor Street was stopped Tuesday, November 13, as new water and sewer lines were installed on the east side of the building that houses Edward's Gifts. The structure on the corner of Main and Astor streets is being remodeled. Plans include restoring the historic east side entryway and remodeling a second-floor apartment, office, and storage area.
