Parade To Be November 30
St. Ignace

The "Home for the Holidays" Christmas parade in St. Ignace will take place Friday, November 30, at 6 p.m. The parade will include the arrival of Santa Claus, the lighting of the downtown Christmas tree, and holiday treats.

Children's photographs with Mr. and Mrs. Claus can be taken following the parade, at the downtown holiday open house, and Saturday, December 1, at the Pavillion from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Photographs of pets with Santa will be taken there from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Chamber of Commerce Business Association is seeking downtown businesses to participate in staying open until 9 p.m. on Friday nights through the holiday shopping season, and to participate in a $500 St. Ignace Shopping Spree giveaway. Shoppers may register for the giveaway at downtown businesses and the winner will be drawn Monday, December 10. Businesses that wish to contribute a gift certificate to the shopping spree may contact the Chamber of Commerce.

Some merchants will offer "Hot Friday Sales" the day after Thanksgiving, November 23. Ladies Night Shopping will take place Friday, December 14, and Men's Night Shopping will be Friday, December 21.
