Annual Preschool Christmas Bazaar Is Saturday at Cedarville

Les Cheneaux Preschool will host its annual Christmas Bazaar and Cookie Walk Saturday, November 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Les Cheneaux Community Schools in Cedarville. It is the preschool's largest annual fundraiser, and helps offset the cost of tuition for students.

The event is free, and includes a raffle of gift baskets and the popular cookie walk, which allows buyers to mix a selection of homemade cookies for the holidays. Organizers are expecting several new exhibitors this year, in addition to local pottery makers, stained glass, paper products, knit wear, toys, cards, crafts, and fine art paintings. Kim Dunn of Cedarville will give foot reflexology demonstrations, and Jim Rigley of Cedarville will offer massage demonstrations. Photographer Casey Zimmerman of Stalwart will return to the bazaar this year and will take portraits, so parents who want children photographed should plan accordingly. Les Cheneaux Community Library will sell used library books to raise money for library activities.

The raffle drawing includes baskets filled with craft items, fine art, and donations from Eastern Upper Peninsula businesses. The drawing will be at the end of the bazaar.
