Shoppers Enjoy Craft Fairs

Sugar Island resident Donna Jarvis has been hand-crafting pine needle baskets using southern long leaf pine needles for about four years. She decorates the baskets with antlers, native pudding stones, Petoskey stones, and agates. She showed her work at the 31st Annual Pickford Arts and Crafts Fair at Pickford Township Hall Friday, November 16, and Saturday, November 17. Two daughters and their mother (from left) Stacy Masse of Pickford, Sherry Ledy of Pickford, and Sasha Ledy of Cedarville, sold baked goods, festive foods, and preserves at the Pickford Craft Fair Saturday, November 10. Mrs. Masse and Mrs. Ledy plan to launch a new business, Snickerdoodles, next spring to sell their locally made foods.
