MDOT's I-75 Corridor Projects in Upper Peninsula Now Completed Marking the close of the construction season, every mile of I-75 in the Upper Peninsula, from the Mackinac Bridge to the International Bridge, has now been resurfaced or rebuilt, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced. This was achieved with the conclusion of a two-season, nine-mile project from M-134 to the Chippewa/Mackinac county line, raising the roadway grade and constructing new pavement. The northbound lanes were rebuilt in 2006; the southbound lanes in 2007. MDOT first began resurfacing and rebuilding I-75 in 2000. |
