The American Legion Department of Michigan awarded Membership Medals to Pickford Post 323 Past Commander of 2006- 2007 Stan Kennedy (center) and Adjutant Willis Weston (right) for exceeding 100% membership goals last year. State Membership Chairman Louis Oberle (left) presented the medals at the Pickford Post 323 meeting Thursday, November 1.
Pickford American Legion Post 323 Commander Dave Spencer displays the Legion's Department of Michigan Certificate of Outstanding Service Award that was awarded posthumously to Joseph C. Kelly for his service efforts last year. Mr. Kelly was the 2006-2007 Post Service Officer and a charter member of Pickford's American Legion Post. He passed away July 13, and the certificate will be presented to Mr. Kelly's family.
