Iola Bottrell Iola Grace Bottrell, 94, of Davison, died Saturday, December 1, 2007, in St. Ignace. She had been a patient of Mackinac Straits Long Term care for the past 11 months. She was born in Davison July 24, 1913, to Floyd and Catherine (nee Alexander) Woolley. She resided in Davison for most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Thomas Bottrell November 29, 1935. She was employed for many years at Fink's Market. Mrs. Bottrell is survived by a son and his family, Bill and Rosalie Robinson of St. Ignace; two granddaughters and their families, Tonia and Tracy Lester of Detroit, and Tracy Robinson of Flint; special nieces and their families, Marilyn Minto, Frances and Larry Thygesen, and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bottrell, her brother, John Woolley, two sisters, Thelma Robinson and Leah Bradshaw, and a nephew, Ken Minto. Services will be Wednesday, December 5, at 2 p.m. at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel in Davison with the Reverend Thomas Wachterhauser officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Dodson Funeral Home of St. Ignace assisted the family with local arrangements. |
