Engadine

Merry Christmas, everyone! It looks like we're going to have additional snow for Christmas.

There will be bingo Thursday, December 20, at the Newton Township Hall in Gould City. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with bingo starting at 7 p.m. Playeres must be 18 years old.

The Newberry Elks Club will have men's stag night Thursday, December 20.

The Newberry Eagles Club will have a fish fry Friday, December 21, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the club on M-28 in Newberry.

Friday, December 21, "Journey to Bethlehem," a live nativity, will be presented by the Engadine United Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. Join the event at Tom and Carol Harper's Bed and Breakfast Farm at W14142 Sandtown Road (one-third mile west of Highway M-117). All are welcome.

There will be a mystery dinner theater, a production of the Newberry United Methodist Church, "Signing Off at WWPP."

Performances will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, December 29, and Monday, December 31, at the Pentland Township Hall.

There will be a lasagna dinner and participants will be asked to help solve the "whodunit." Tickets are available from cast members and the Newberry United Methodist Church at 110 West Harrie Street in Newberry. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and younger. Proceeds will fund services for people in need in the local area.

Happy anniversary to Dave and Amanda Livermore December 20, and a special anniversary wish to Ron and Betty Clark, who will celebrate 60 years together December 23.
