Afish fry to raise money for the Mackinaw City Memorial Day Parade will be Friday, January 18, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Pancake Chef Restaurant on Central Avenue in Mackinaw City.

The all-you-can-eat buffet will be $8 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. All proceeds from the meal, one of the first Mackinaw City Winterfest activities this year, will help offset Memorial Day parade expenses. The parade features around 90 floats, and launches the busy summer tourist season in Mackinaw City.

Anyone who plans to participate in the parade in May should get information and an entry form at the Pancake Chef Restaurant, or call (231) 436-5578 as soon as possibly. Bob Fisher is the chairman of this year's parade.
