Sally Clark
Sally Clark, 53, of Newberry, died Thursday, January 10, 2008, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Born December 25, 1954, in Newberry, she was the daughter of Virgil and Alice (nee Williams) Groh.
She was a 1973 graduate of Newberry High School and attended Central Michigan University for one year. She married Robert Clark September 22, 1979, in Newberry.
Over the years, Mrs. Clark was employed with the Intermediate School District, Sears catalog store, as a waitress at the Elks Lodge and Spot Restaurant, and as a dental assistant for Eric LaRoue, D.D.S. Her interests included spending time with her grandchildren, casino gaming, sewing, shopping, knitting, and reading.
She is survived by her husband; her children and their families, Ed and Michelle Clark, and Michelle and Joe Teske, all of Newberry; her stepchildren, Christle Ollie of Newberry and John Clark of Trout Lake; six grandchildren; siblings and their families, Jim and Carolyn Groh of Mount Pleasant, Ed and Cindy Groh of Newberry, Gail "Snooks" and Leo Burgess of Newberry, and Patricia and Dale Wiggins of Pensacola, Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday, January 14, at 11 a.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Newberry with Pastor LaVonne Stephenson officiating. Friends called at Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry Sunday, January 13, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Burial will take place at Forest Home Cemetery.
