Meghann Colegrove St. Ignace Saints girls and boys bowling team dropped matches during Northern Michigan Bowling Association Conference competition at Gaylord Saturday, January 12.

Saints Fall to Blue Devils

The Saints girls team bowled just one match Saturday, falling to the host Blue Devils 783 to 712 in the first game, and lost a heartbreaker, 726-725, in the second game for a two-game total of 1,509 to 1,437.

Meghann Colegrove led St. Ignace with a high game 179 score and a two-game series of 346. Other bowlers were Sara Tafelski with a high game of 154 and 303 series; Melissa Brown, high game of 150 and 292 series; Anna Krause, high game of 132 and 259 series, and Jaimee Bloxsom, high game of 123 and 237 series.

Saints Boys Drop Pair

St. Ignace fell to the Alpena Wildcats 913 to 751 and 1,003 to 816, for a two-game total of 1,916 to 1,567. The Saints were defeated by the Rogers City Hurons 987 to 941 and 923 to 871, for a two-game total of 1,910 to 1,812.

Chris Binger led the Saints against the Wildcats with high game of 231 and two-game series of 426, followed by Jamin Corwin's high game of 190 and 330 series, Josh Feldman's high game of 159 and 299 series, Andy Mullins' high game 138 and 274 series, and Patric Schlehuber's high game of 121 and 238 series.

Jamin Corwin Jamin Corwin bowled a high game of 240 and a two-game series of 407 to lead the Saints against the Hurons, followed by Chris Binger's high game of 233 and 403 series, Josh Feldman's high game of 207 and 373 series, Andy Mullins' high game of 177 and 338 series, and Patric Schlehuber's high game of 148 and 296 series.

St. Ignace will host Northern Michigan Bowling Association Conference matches Saturday, January 19, at Gateway Lanes, with the boys bowling , at 10 a.m. and the girls to begin play at 1 p.m.

Bottle Drive

The St. Ignace bowling team will hold a can and bottle drive Saturday, January 19, after the matches are completed.
