During their January 24 meeting, Mackinac County commissioners reappointed Mackinac County Housing Commission members to terms that will expire October 31. Linda Martin was reappointed until 2010, Tim Miller until 2009, Roger Shoemaker until 2012, Harold Myers until 2011, and Hope Webb until 2008.

The housing commission oversees low income housing, with 24 units at Whispering Pines Apartments in Curtis and Engadine.
