St. Ignace's Davis Sets New 200-meter Record at LSSU

(Photograph by Marty Davis) Paul Davis, a former St. Ignace high school track standout, set a new Lake Superior State University (LSSU) record in the 200-meter dash in the Boston University Valentine's Day Invitational in Boston Saturday, February 9, with a time of 22.50 seconds.

It was only a week after he broke the record the first time, having broke it the first time at a home meet Saturday, February 2, with a time of 22.577.

Davis also competes in the 55-meter dash and has been timed in 6.734 seconds. He anchors the 1600-meter relay.

Kelsey Cryderman, a freshman at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, competed at the LSSU tournament, finishing seventh with a time of 1:06.158.
