Family Takes to Lake Huron Ice in Unique Fashion - Logging Sled

Brother and sister Adam, 2, and Lauren Schafer, 4, both of St. Ignace, enjoy watching the Upper Peninsula Pond Hockey Championships on a unique sled Sunday, February 24. The sled, made of wood and skis, was made by their grandfather, boat builder Bob Schafer, who has been using it to haul logs from the woods to make a 100-foot schooner. He added the car seats on for the weekend.
