Rudyard

By Kerry Fountain 495-5533 kerrymariet@yahoo.com

Spring break is over and everyone is home, and there are sighs of relief from parents that school is back in session.

Blood pressure screenings are offered every week at the community center in Rudyard for anyone who would like to participate.

With my little boy, Wyatt, I have always wanted to find a play group that he could get involved with, to have fun with children his own age, and so that I could mingle more with parents and discuss what things we had in common, and we have found a wonderful group meeting at the Kinross Recreation center.

Tonya Peffers heads a group for ages up to five. There are many activities for the upcoming month and if interested you can e-mail her at tlp17f@yahoo.com. An event is coming up at which half of the mothers work out while the other half of the group will watch the children. There is a $2 fee per day to work out in the exercise room. This event is sponsored by the Kinross Early Child Development team. Call the recreation center for more information.

The Rudyard Co-op will host its annual board meeting Wednesday, April 23, at the Community Center. All are welcome to attend. There will be refreshments and prizes.

Three people will be elected to seats on the board.

February Students of the Month in Rudyard were: third grade, Joey Beaudoin, Trista MacDowell, and Seth Bosley; fourth grade, Ryan Nicklas, R.J. Weber, and Dillan Lemmerman; fifth grade, Collette Anderson and Mason Stierley; sixth grade, Bethany Robinson, Savannah Dugan, and Korissa Hakola; seventh grade, Megan Berkompas and Brittni Hall; eighth grade, Keith Belonga and Samantha Raffaele.

Forms to order this year's school yearbook can be picked up in the school office.

April 23, Jonathon Brown will be having a spaghetti dinner to raise money to be a student ambassador.

Dinner will be served at the Kinross Recreation center at 5 p.m.
