60+ Vendors at St. Ignace Home Show

From gutters to flooring, both indoor and outdoor home improvement products and services will be showcased during the sixth annual Mackinac County Home and Garden Show Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19.

The show will be at Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $2 per person, with children age eight and younger admitted free of charge.

More than 60 vendors have registered to participate and products will include home furnishings, window treatments, custom stone products, windows and doors, water treatment products, paint, and hot tubs. Also showcased will be builders and contractors, banks, and real estate services.

The show is coordinated by Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME) of Mackinac County. The not-for-profit organization arranges and builds housing with an emphasis on affordable home ownership. Proceeds from the show will benefit affordable housing projects within the county.

Vendor space is still available, said Michelle Walk, director of the St. Ignace office of Michigan State University Extension. Ms. Walk is coordinating the event, along with Lori Pieri, executive director of HOME.

B.C. Pizza of St. Ignace will provide concessions during the show.

Sponsors of the show include First National Bank of St. Ignace, Mackinac County, St. Ignace Downtown Development Au- thority, City of St. Ignace Recreation Department, and Days Inn Lakeside.
