2008-05-01 / News

The St. Ignace Fire Department responded to smoke coming from a Goudreau Street apartment building Saturday, April 26. Crews were on the scene a little after 9 p.m.

An overheated furnace created smoke and no flames, said Fire Chief John "Bucky" Robinson, and no damage occurred. The furnace, he said, just needed a cleaning.

St. Ignace City Police also responded to the call.
