May events at the St. Ignace Public Library include a book sale, movie night, and an appearance by Michigan Notable Author Eric Villegas.

The book sale will be Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at the library. Proceeds from the sale will benefit library programs.

Movie night at the library this month will feature a showing of "Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" Thursday, May 15, at 6:15 p.m. The movie is rated PG. There is no charge for the event, and free refreshments will be served.

Monday, May 19, the library will host Mr. Villegas, who is promoting his cookbook, "Fork in the Road." He appears in the Public Broadcasting Station television show of the same name. The show and cookbook feature Michigan foods.
