Evelyn Hart

Evelyn J. Hart, 78, of South Curtis Road in Germfask, died at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Sunday, April 20, 2008.

Born in Flint June 22, 1929, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Cynthia (nee Hill) Wambold.

She was graduated from high school and attended Mott College. She began her employment with the Westwood Heights School System and held several positions there until retiring in 1978.

She married Albert Hart February 4, 1946, in the Flint area, where they made their home until moving to the Upper Peninsula after retirement.

Mrs. Hart was a member of Mayfair Bible Church in the Flint area and Curtis Community Church in Curtis. She also was a member of the State Employees Retirement Association, the Curtis Ladies Quilting Club, and she liked to snowmobile and fish. She was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; four children and their families, Carolyn and David Bergner of New York, Arnold and Diane Hart of Chatham, Lois MacDonald of Corrunna, and Monte and Anne Hart of Clio; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Wambold of Linden, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Leslie.

Services were held at Curtis Community Church Thursday, April 24, with the Reverend John Troyer and the Reverend David Bergner officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry assisted the family.
