Pickford High School hosted its annual Scholarship Banquet Thursday, April 24. This ceremony honors students who have been on the Honor Roll for three consecutive marking periods, and includes the annual National Honor Society Induction ceremony.

Courtney Bruni, Carolyn Lantzy, Matthew Rose, Patrick Savoie, and Keshia Soza were recognized as National Honor Society members for two consecutive years. Matthew Rose received the Robert Howell-Outstanding Scholar Award for 2007-2008.

Each student receives a scholarship ribbon award for their first year and a bronze, silver, or gold star to put on the ribbon for every year they achieve this honor. Bronze represents two years, silver represents three years, and gold represents four years of academic excellence.

First-year students receiving ribbons were: Kelsie Brown, Hannah Bush, Sam Carter, Jessica Coullard, Kyle Decker, Charlie Halsey, Madelynn Hancock, Justine Hatfield, David Hurban, Teresa Kamper, Brandi Kopitz, Melissa MacLean, Matt McBain, Sara McGowan, Marlee Michalski, Paul Morrison, Tylor Payment, Katie Raynard, Rachel Reich, Melissa Stevenson, Casey Strieter, Adam Taylor, Courtney Weihman, Gabrielle Hatch, Genie Gagnon, Abigail Kott*, Jasmine Ledy, Kyle Barry, Josiah Bush, Richard Gibson, Ashley Haidys, Carolyn Jenks, Duane Litten, Joseph Morrow, Jordan Potter, Alicia Priehs, and Amanda Zambron.

Students earning bronze stars were: Brandon Christensen, Leigha Dilday, Krista Esslin, Amanda Felty, Amber Hill, Erica Leach, Jenna Ledy, McKinley Portice, Jamie Rifenberg, Abigail Rose, Dylan Rye, Callie Smith, Jaelinn Soeltner, Cody Stevenson, Frank Ygeal, Holly Wondergem*, Krista Harlan, Katelynn Parr, and Burton Gough*.

Silver star recipients were: Magan Arbic*, Cheyenne Cline*, Kaitlyn Jenkins*, Heather Kamper, Josh Leach*, Tiffany Mc- Cord*, Rachel Schmitigal*, Nicolas Crowder, Melissa Kucharczyk, and Keshia Soza.

Students earning gold stars include Tara Beard, Courtney Bruni, Kourtlyn Esslin*, Carolyn Lantzy, Alli Priskorn, Matt Rose, and Pat Savoie.

Kassandra Rader was also inducted into the National Honor Society.
