Klamerus, Peterson Are DeTour's Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Nathan Klamerus Nathan Klamerus Nathan Wade Klamerus is the class of 2008 valedictorian at DeTour High School. Mr. Klamerus is the son of Paul and Janis Gratowski and the late V. Wade Klamerus.

He has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout his high school career. He has also received annual scholastic awards in all classes and the Eastern Upper Peninsulas Principal's Award for Academic Excellence. He is president of the National Honor Society and has participated in basketball, golf, cross country, and football.

He will attend the University of Michigan in the fall to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Maxwell Joseph Peterson has been named the salutatorian for the class of 2008. Mr. Peterson is the son of Matt and Jody Peterson.

He has achieved an overall 3.93 grade point average in his high school career. In addition to receiving annual scholastic awards in all classes, he has also earned the Eastern Upper Peninsula Principal's Award for Academic Excellence, and the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Pin. He has participated in the National Honor Society, has served all four years on the Student Council, and participated in track, cross country, and basketball throughout his high school career.
