Pierce To Bike Across Country

(Pierce family photograph) John Pierce of Kincheloe, who regularly rides his bicycle across the Eastern Upper Peninsula, will ride across the United States as part of the "Sea to Sea" program to raise money to fight global poverty. The bike ride will begin June 30 in Seattle, Washington, and will continue for 3,881 miles. Each rider has a goal of raising $10,000 and proceeds will go to poor communities through endeavors such as creating jobs, supporting existing programs that help the poor, and helping small businesses invest to increase their revenue.
