Janet and Milton McCord on their wedding day (left) and at their 50th anniversary celebration. Janet and Milton McCord of Pickford celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 26, at an open house at the Pickford United Methodist Church.

They were married April 26, 1958, in Coventry, Connecticut, with the Reverend James Mac- Arthur officiating. Marion Bates was the maid of honor, while Robert Long served as best man.

The couple has six children. Children and their families include Michelle McCord of Sterling, Virginia, Michael and Roxann McCord of Pickford, Clayton and Tammy McCord of Mililani, Hawaii, Chris McCord of Mount Pleasant, Amy Leppien, and Jon and Tracy McCord, all of Sault Ste. Marie.

They have six grandchildren, Tiffany, Brianna, Wade, Hali, Alyssa, and Denvy.
