Tyler Mapes (left) and Jeff Gamble were named to the All SAC Golf Team after finishing second and third overall in league rankings. St. Ignace juniors Tyler Mapes and Jeff Gamble were named to the All-Straits Area Conference (SAC) golf team. The Saints finished third overall after the spring SAC schedule was completed.

Mapes scored an average of 79.75 average for 18 holes, while Gamble had an average of 82 for St. Ignace.

During the final two SAC matches of the season, the Saints finished third at Kincheloe Monday, May 12, and fifth at Cheboygan Wednesday, May 14.

Mapes finished second overall and Gamble third in the individual race behind Kyle Parsons of Cheboygan, who was named SAC Golfer of the Year, with a 75 average.

Cheboygan won the team championship, followed by Inland Lakes, St. Ignace, Sault Ste. Marie, Rogers City, Newberry, and Rudyard.
