The seniors from Rudyard High School have returned home from their trip to Orlando, Florida. I got to speak to a couple of the seniors about their trip, and they all agreed that it was a good time shared by all.

The trip began Saturday, May 17, in chartered a bus. Jessie Loonsfoot reported that they went to Orlando, Busch Gardens, Coco Beach, and Wet and Wild.

They enjoyed shopping at Disney, and enjoyed spending time with their classmates before ending the school year.

Brandt Brown said that they enjoyed Planet Hollywood, as well as Ron Johns. "It was sad to know that graduation was just around the corner."

Katie Carter enjoyed Busch Gardens the most. The animals and safari tours were exciting, she said. This year's chaperones were Kim Falbo and Heather Suggitt. Everyone returned home Friday, May 23.

The U.P. track finals are Saturday, May 31. We wish all competing Rudyard students good luck.

Sandra Smith of Smith Sanitation says the company is expanding. They've been in business for 45 years, and are looking to come into DeTour and Cedarville.

Steve McClendon saw the movie "Indiana Jones" with CJ Raffel, Rhea Moses, Jacob Bywater, and Lindsay LaPointe last weekend.

It was enjoyed by all.

In memory of Michael Kangas, family members camped on 23 Mile this past weekend to spend time together.

Chantel Sorelli and Jeremiah Wileman have returned home from their colleges and will be working at the Kinross Co-op this summer. Jeremiah is doing a lot of trap shooting with the Chippewa County Shooting Association.

The senior class will be graduated Monday, June 2. We wish all of them luck in all that they do.

Pure Country is the new name of The Varsity Grill, owned by Keith Clegg, on Main Street in Rudyard.
