James Heile

James E. Heile, 85, a World War II veteran and a summer resident of Cedarville, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Florida.

He was born May 30, 1922, to Elmer and Agnes (nee McTique) Heile in Covington, Kentucky.

Mr. Heile attended Marmian Military Academy in Aurora, Illinois, and was graduated from St. Joseph's Preparatory School in Bardstown, Kentucky. He also attended Xavier University before joining the United States Army during World War II.

He was in the investment business through 1980, when he retired and moved to John's Island in Vero Beach.

Mr. Heile is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine Ibold Heile of Vero Beach; two sons, John Heile and William Heile of Florence, Kentucky; and a sister and her family, Mary Jo and Edward Hogan.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Kirk, and a brother, Francis Heile of Kentucky.

Amemorial Mass was celebrated at St. Rose Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, Saturday, May 31, at 10 a.m.
