Downtown St. Ignace

Carol Bell (back) of Cedars of Mackinac Landscaping and her crew begin planting this summer's colorful Kiwanis Beach garden, designed with 50 varieties of annual flowers, Wednesday, June 4. Over the winter, Mrs. Bell designs the garden, making it slightly different from the previous year. Calling the group a "hardworking crew," she said the garden would be finished in two days. Digging into the dirt and planting the flowers are (from right) Brittany Dykstra, James Peterson, Margaret Peacock, Ashley Neelis, and Kate Springsteen.
