Les Cheneaux Students Present Concert
Above: At the Tuesday, May 27, Les Cheneaux Elementary Spring Music Concert, students in kindergarten through third grade sing "The Hokey Pokey" as they acted out the parts of the song. The fourth grade students played songs on their recorders, and the fifth grade band performed during the concert. At right: Adding a bright splash of orange to the Les Cheneaux Elementary School Spring Music Concert, Heather McIntire (right) wears the traditional Korean national costume she brought home after a nearly twomonth stay in Korea this year. The lush, silk gown has ornate embroidery along the edges. She is also wearing a traditional cap. She is in third grade, and is the daughter of Hae Rae Na (left) and Carl McIntire (not pictured) of Cedarville. Miss McIntire and Mrs. McIntire went to Korea to stay with family February 27, and Miss McIntire attended school while she was there. She brought other items that reflect the Korean culture back to school in Cedarville, where she shared her experiences with the students. |
