The deadline for entering the July 4 Miss St. Ignace Contest, Junior Miss St. Ignace Contest, and Prince/Princess Contest is Friday, June 20. Applications are available at the city clerk's office in City Hall.

Winners will be announced Thursday, July 3, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers.

The pre-parade contests will be Best Decorated Bike, Best Decorated Stroller/Walker, and Best Patriotic Costume. Participants must be at parade line-up by 12:30 p.m. July 4 to be judged.

Floats in the parade will be judged according to the following categories: Best Patriotic Theme, Best Presentation of Theme, and Most Creative Entry. A cash prize of $100 and plaques will be donated by the St. Ignace Chamber of Commerce. The parade will begin at 1 p.m.

The St. Ignace Fire Department will host the annual open house at the Dock 3 park that afternoon. If it rains, the open house will be at Little Bear East Arena.
