Gerald 'Jerry' Hutchinson

Gerald A. "Jerry" Hutchinson, 47, of McMillan, owned and operated a used auto parts business in McMillan for several years. Mr. Hutchinson died suddenly Monday, June 2, 2008, at his residence.

Born September 27, 1960, in Flint, he was the son of Harold and Jill (nee Browning) Hutchinson.

Mr. Hutchinson moved from Otisville to the Newberry area at a young age. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, fixing vehicles, reading his Bible, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Harold and Jill, both of Newberry; eight siblings, Jill Wright of Brown City, Sam Hutchinson, Tina Hutchinson, Harold Hutchinson, all of Newberry, Kathy Ream of Fruitport, Don Hutchinson of Florida, Malinda Prather of Gladwin, and John Hutchinson of Mount Morris; a mother-in-law, Betty Smith of Rexton; a sister-in-law, Susan Smith of Naples, Florida, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; two children, Tiffany and Christie, and his fatherin law, Allan Smith.

Services were held Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Newberry with Pastor Andrew Manwarren and the Reverend Cheri Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Epoufette Cemetery in Epoufette.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry is assisting the family with arrangements.
