Grants are available for nonprofit organizations that serve Mackinaw City and the Straits of Mackinac area. New and longstanding nonprofits are invited to apply to the Mackinaw City Chamber of Commerce. Applications must be received by Monday, June 23.

Last year, the chamber awarded more than $11,000.

In the past, chamber grants have helped promote projects including grooming area trails, promoting the Mackinaw Mush sled dog race, and assisting with costs for the Fort Michilimackinac Pageant.

Funding for the grant is gathered, in part, via the chamber's fall raffle and dinner.
