Second Annual Jim Bohn Bike and Hike Is July 6 in Hessel
The second annual Jim Bohn Bike and Hike will be Sunday, July 6, in Hessel, starting at 11 a.m. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Islander Bar in Hessel, at 134 Pickford Avenue.
The event was named in memory of Cedarville resident Jim Bohn, father of the bar's owner, Greg Bohn. Last year it raised $5,850 for the Cancer Research Foundation. The goal for the second year is to raise $10,000.
Registration is $25, and includes a commemorative T-shirt and lunch. Participants can ride a bicycle, walk, or run along a fiveor 10-kilometer course down Lake Street to Hessel Point Road and back.
