Hello, everyone. It's hard to believe the month of July is almost to an end already.
There will be an all-you-caneat fish fry Friday, July 25, from 4:30 p.m to 8 p.m. at the Newberry Eagles Club on M-28 in Newberry.
The American Legion Post 290 of Engadine will have a fish fry Friday, July 25, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Engadine. There also will be a 50/50 raffle.
The Curtis Community Arts Council will offer its fifth annual wine and cheese tasting and auction fundraiser Saturday, July 26, at Chamberlin's Ole Forest Inn in Curtis. This event will begin at 3 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Curtis Community Arts Council, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing educational, cultural, and physical activity opportunities in the Curtis area. The 15th annual Tahquamenon Valley Cruisers Car Show is Friday, July 25. The evening will begin with a cruise from the Newberry American Legion to Muskalonge State Park, where there will be food and beverages for all participants. The car show continues Saturday, July 26, at 8 a.m. Registration is from 8 a.m. to noon, and judging is open until 1 p.m. The engine blow-up contest will begin at 2:30 p.m. Also offered that day will be jail and bail, silent auction, games, and a kiddie tractor pull, along with many vendors on site. Trophies TRI- CO UNTY (ne xt t o Pos t Of fice 478-Because you want Import will be awarded at 4 p.m. The car show will be set up on the main road in downtown Newberry, which will be closed to through traffic between Truman and Railroad streets. Engadine Heritage Day will be Sunday, July 27, all day until early evening. People of all ages will enjoy music, food, dancing, arts and crafters, quilt raffle, fly tying, face painting, antique cars and farm machinery, history of our early pioneers, and Jingle Bells, the clown. Bring your lawn chairs and your family for this day at the Garfield Township Hall and Mill Pond Park.
The West Mackinac Recreation Area Association will hold a raffle with a drawing Sunday, September 14, at 9 p.m. at McNeil's Bar in Gould City. For more information, call (906) 477-9915.
