Youth Now Taking Tennis Lessons on City Court
Tennis lessons are back in St. Ignace, and more classes will offered in the future. They are taught by Jim Clement of St. Ignace, with the help of his family dog and ball retriever, Cali. Area children pictured here are making use of their summer vacation to learn the sport Wednesday, July 16. Part of the class's $5 registration fee will be used to help purchase rackets for those who don't have them. The classes are offered through the city Recreation Department, which plans to seek grants to improve the community tennis courts. Participating in the class (not pictured in order) are James Goudreau, Kolbe Peller, Bill Bentgen, Zack Harrington, Molly Sweeney, Cody Therrian, Stacy Goldthorpe, Kate Bentgen, Margo Brown, Jessie Frazier, Dylan Marshall, Austin Marshall, Gage Kreski, Lydia Brown, and Kody Rickley. |
