The Les Cheneaux Education Foundation presented "Hello, Dolly" the weekend of July 26, in the old auditorium of the Cedarville high school. There were a few actors from Pickford in it, and they did a swell job.

They included Richard Morrison, Elliot Nelson, Rachael Rambo, Victoria Portice, Jaelin Soeltner, Courtney Weihman, Kayla and Kelsey Rambo, and Sarah Morrison, who played flute in the orchestra.

Mr. Morrison played Rudolf Weisenweber in "Hello, Dolly." He followed this act by being the organizer for the Pickford Hay Days Flower Power Queen and Belle Coronation, as well as the Talent Program Friday, August 2. His next adventure is taking on a bit part in "South Pacific" in Sault Ste. Marie next week.

Saturday, July 26, Sharon Shaw and Marty LaJoie were joined in wedlock at the Les Cheneaux Christian Church, in Cedarville. The reception followed at The Sundowner north of Pickford. There was a nice crowd and a lot of happy faces present.

The North Star Habitat for Humanity is building a home for Ann Kessinger and her two children, Mekayle and Logan, just north of Pickford on the west side of M-129. Ms. Kessinger's father and brothers, the Kessinger family from Kinross, will help with the building of her new home.

Jack and Ruth (nee O'Brien) Beckwith came from Grayling for their 55th class reunion anniversary Saturday, August 2. Mr. Beckwith worked for the local telephone company before he and his wife moved to Grayling.

The Pickford Hay Days Talent Program, organized by Mr. Morrison, was held at 7 p.m. Friday. The very best performance was the Stevenson family playing various medleys. Joe Leach sang and played a song about being "Hooked on Music," which he wrote, and another fine act was the father-son team, "The Goulders" - playing violin, Ben, and guitar, Steve.

All in all, the evening offered great entertainment and good weather, and came to an end around sunset.

Members of the Stevenson family performed at Hay Days Friday, August 1. Band members include Bill McKee, Ted Stevenson, Gail Stevenson, Don Stevenson, Kenny Stevenson, and Patti Stevenson. Names of other family band members were not available. Members of the Stevenson family performed at Hay Days Friday, August 1.
