Thomas Jarvie Thomas James Jarvie, 25, of Rudyard, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey.

He was born September 28, 1982, in Sault Ste. Marie.

Mr. Jarvie was a lifelong Rudyard resident. He was working for Wendrick's Truss Company in Sault Ste. Marie while studying with the Art Institute of America to become a cartoonist. Mr. Jarvie enjoyed drawing and weightlifting.

His family made his organs and tissue available to others through Gift of Life of Michigan.

Mr. Jarvie is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kerry and Rich Seymour of Grand Rapids; his father and family, James Jarvie and Tina McCartney of Rudyard; his grandparents, Beatrice Batchelder of Reed City, and Art and Gerry Jarvie of Rudyard; one sister and her family, Jessica Jarvie and Lance Rolison of Sault Ste. Marie; two brothers, Brian Aho and Joseph Aho, both of Grand Rapids; two stepbrothers, Christopher Seymour and Robert Seymour, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Conrad Johnson and Lester Batchelder.

A service will be Saturday, August 9, at 1 p.m. at Reamer Galer Funeral Home in Pickford, with his brother, Joseph Aho, conducting the service.
