Saints Volleyball Team To Sell Fundraiser Cards for a Week
      The St. Ignace varsity and junior varsity volleyball teams will be selling McDonald's cards as a fundraiser for one week from Wednesday, August 20, to Wednesday, August 27, at the cost of $10 per card. Jim Lamoreaux Records Third Ace
      Jim Lamoreaux of St. Ignace became the ninth person to record a hole-in-one at the St. Ignace Golf Club this summer after the veteran golfer aced hole seven Wednesday, August 13. It was his third career ace.

Crews Will Survey Pine River for Sea Lampreys
      A U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service assessment crew will conduct work in the Pine River in Mackinac County Tuesday, August 19, through Tuesday, August 26, to estimate the abundance of sea lampreys. The information gathered will be used to determine the need for sea lamprey control.

Dodgeball Tournament Is Planned in St. Ignace
      Open to students and adults, a Bullseye Dodgeball Tournament will take place at St. Ignace Sunday, September 7. Two courts will be set up in Little Bear East Arena and teams will vie for trophies. Team divisions will include third grade students through fifth grade, sixth grade through eighth grade, and ninth grade through 12th grade, divided into boys and girls teams.
