The Eagles Club 4483 of Gould City was closed for a few days last week, so members could attend a convention and the Buckley Old Engine Show in Buckley. Mrs. Wedge, better known to her friends as "Sweet Pea," said it was excellent weather for camping. Members brought back a cedar shingle, which is given as a souvenir, to all who attend the Old Engine Show. The cedar shingles, handmade by the Buckley Old Engine Association, are stamped "Buckley Old Engine Show 2008." Members welcome people to the club on US-2, just west of the Gould City blinker light. They would like everyone to know that the club is open to the public, as well as members.
