Experiential Retailing Will Be Topic of Sault Workshop

An Experiential Retailing and Marketing Workshop is designed to benefit all retail business owners Monday, September 15, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Best Western in Sault Ste. Marie. The cost is $40 per person.

"Experiential retailing" means providing a rich experience for customers using an approach that involves both emotional and rational triggers, organizers report. Destination stores realize higher traffic and longer stays than typical retailers, by creating an interactive experience that no one else can replicate.

Denise Hansen, retail marketing expert and advertising consultant, will be the speaker. Ms. Hansen's consulting experience includes Victoria's Secret and Walt Disney Company's Disney Store.

Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center is hosting the workshop in conjunction with the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber members will be admitted for $20.
