Karissa Schlosser Receives AAA Scholarship

Cedarville High School senior Karissa Schlosser has been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship from AAA. She was selected from among hundreds of applicants for the AAA Michigan School Safety Patrol Scholarship.

Miss Schlosser served on safety patrol in elementary school. The scholarship recognizes continued demonstration of the values of responsibility and leadership.

The criteria included writing a personal introduction letter, participation in community and extracurricular activities, academic achievements, and submitting letters of reference.

During her senior year, she was president of the Student Council and active in the National Honor Society. She participated in track, concert band, and volunteered for B.A.B.E.S. Buddies, her church youth group, vacation Bible school, Lions Club, Red Cross, Cedar Campus, and summer mission trips to Puerto Rico and Lima, Peru.

She will attend Lake Superior State University in the fall, where she will study accounting.
