Brian Snyder of St. Ignace stopped to watch as the long-standing Selden's Marathon Service and Kalbfleish Oil Company building on North State Street in St. Ignace was torn down Wednesday, August 20. The business' founder, the late Selden Kalbfleish, was Mr. Snyder's uncle. The building was torn down last week to make the property more marketable. The demolition took about an hour. "It was kind of sad to see it go," said Wade Huskey, who operated the excavator.
