Veterans of World War II are especially invited to attend.

Lots at the resort are owned by members of every military branch. Together, they have created the small memorial park in memory of those who have served, and continue to serve, in defense of American freedom.

Members of the U.S. Coast Guard Station St. Ignace will present the colors. Carl Eagle, chaplain and member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3676 in Sault Ste. Marie, will conduct the opening prayer.

The national anthem will be led by the Sault Ste. Marie American Legion and Hessel VFW Women's Auxiliaries. Music will be provided by Hessel VFW Post 7958.

Introduction of honored guests will follow, including Ted Coutant of Sault Ste. Marie, of the U.S. Navy, a Pearl Harbor survivor, Cedarville's Roger Hamel of the U.S. Air Force, who flew a B-29 over Japan, Cedarville's Norman Windsor, and all attending World War II veterans.

Veterans in attendance from all military branches and military conflicts will be recognized.

Cedarville's Robert Cataline of the U.S. Marines will speak, prior to the unveiling of a memorial plaque.

American Legion member Mike Yeadon will play "Taps."

Refreshments will be provided by Jon Steinbach.

The resort is at 634 Grove Street in Cedarville, one block south of M-134 and one-half mile east of downtown Cedarville.
