About 500 bicyclists will cross the Mackinac Bridge Sunday, August 31, as part of the 38th Annual Dick Allen Lansing to Mackinaw Bicycle Tour (DALMAC).
The group is expected to cross the bridge between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday. The far east northbound lane will be closed on the bridge during that time.
The bicycle camping tour offers five routes to riders who begin in Lansing Wednesday, August 27, and finish Sunday in either Mackinaw City or DeTour Village.
DALMAC was founded in 1971 by former State Senator Dick Allen as a way to promote bicycling.
