Hello, everyone. A few people I spoke with said it is time to tune up the furnace and clean the chimney, because of the drop in temperatures in the past week. It's still officially summer, but Mother Nature decided to let us know what's around the corner.

Don't miss the Naubinway- Engadine Merchants Association annual fall festival, Saturday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Naubinway pavilion. There will be arts, crafts, food booths, children's games, and activities. This year's silent auction will feature teepees. American Legion Post 290 in Engadine will have a fish fry Friday, September 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Engadine American Legion VFW Post 8372 Hall. There also will be a 50/50 raffle. Everyone is welcome.

There will be a fish fry at the Eagles 4483 in Gould City Friday, September 12, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and karaoke music starting at 7 p.m. The Fraternal Order of Eagles will be celebrating its fourth anniversary Saturday, September 13, with a buffalo roast. There will be several raffles starting at 2 p.m. with dinner at 4 p.m. The club is open to the public and welcomes all members, friends, and family to celebrate the anniversary. The Seney National Wildlife Refuge will host amateur photography tours Thursday, September 11, Thursday, September 18, and Friday, September 26, at 7 p.m. Photographers should have a working knowledge of their equipment, and come prepared for a variety of weather and bug conditions.
